6.4.2.1.3 Factory Calibration

The The TAS2573 device has integrated Factory Calibration feature to compensate for the effect of unit-to-unit variation of voice coil resistance of the loudspeaker. The feature triggers a measurement of the voice coil resistance in factory floor for storing the resistance value in the end-system as well for screening defective units e.g. open or shorted loudspeaker. The completion of factory calibration is flagged on INT_LTCH5[7] bit, and corresonding interrupt can be generated on IRQZ pin based on status of INT_MASK5[7] bit. For defective speakers, open circuit is flagged using INT_LTCH5[3] bit with a corresponding interrupt generated based on INT_MASK5[3] bit while short circuit is flagged using INT_LTCH5[4] bit with a corresponding interrupt generated based on INT_MASK5[4] bit.

The Factory Calibration feature can be enabled and tuned using the PPC3 Software Section 6.4.1.
