LMX2624SPEVM board contains a LMX2624-SP space grade RF synthesizer (Engineering mode), a very low noise LDO and a microcontroller (also referred to as USB2ANY). The board has two RF outputs, RFOUTA and RFOUTB. The RF outputs can output divided down, direct VCO or VCO doubler output up to 28GHz. RFOUTB also support low frequency SYSREF clock output. SYSREF operation includes continuous SYSREF clock generation and SYSREF pulser mode. SYSREF repeater mode is also supported by feeding external SYSREF signal to the EVM. On LMX2695SEPEVM board, the synthesizer is LMX2695-SEP, a radiation hardened RF synthesizer (Engineering mode). On LMX2824EPEVM board, the synthesizer is LMX2824-EP.
Configuration to the LMX device is made through the onboard USB2ANY to a PC. TICS Pro is used to configure and program the LMX device.
These LMX devices can operate in pin mode, in this case, no register programming is required. Onboard rotary switches and 2-pin headers are used to set up the configuration of the LMX device.
