SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3000

The SimpleLink CC3000 module simplifies product development and creates better user experiences for home automation, appliances, smart energy, security, and health & fitness applications. The module features TI’s SmartConfig™ technology, a unique one-step Wi-Fi activation process, which provides a solution to add Wi-Fi connectivity to headless devices that lack keypads or touchscreens. Additional software features include service discovery, cloud connectivity and flexible memory size.  The self-contained module integrates the entire TCP/IP networking stack, Wi-Fi driver and security supplicant leading to easier portability to microcontrollers and an ultra-low memory footprint.

The self-contained module minimizes complexity synonymous with adding GPS functionality to products. For example, the push-to-fix function is hardware-controlled through a single general purpose input and output (GPIO); simply switch on the GPIO to receive NMEA strings containing location, time and velocity information. The SimpleLink GPS CC4000 solution operates with any microcontroller (MCU) or microprocessor (MPU) while sporting an aggressive, sub-100mm2 form factor. As a result, a wide range of customers gain the ultimate flexibility when designing GPS-based applications such as asset tracking, industrial M2M, sports and fitness, and precision timing.

SimpleLink 6LoWPAN CC1180

The CC1180 is a cost-effective, low power, sub-1GHz RF Network Processor that provides 6LoWPAN functionality with minimal development effort. The CC1180 is preloaded with TI third party Sensinode's 6LoWPAN NanoBoot bootloader, for easy software download of the 6LoWPAN stack, NanoStack 2.0 Lite. The CC1180 network processor handles all the timing-critical and processing-intensive 6LoWPAN protocol tasks, and leaves the resources of the application host microcontroller free to handle the application. CC1180 makes it easy to add 6LoWPAN functionality to new or existing products at the same time since it provides great flexibility in choice of microcontroller.

SimpleLink ZigBee CC2530ZNP

The CC2530ZNP is a ZigBee® network processor with integrated ZigBee PRO software stack which provides a simple, off-the-shelf ZigBee solution without requiring designers to learn the complexities of a full ZigBee stack. The CC2530ZNP also allows designers the flexibility to use their existing host processor to run application code while the CC2530ZNP supports the networking component of the system. The CC2530ZNP is an ideal starting point for applications like lighting control, security and home automation.

The CC2570 and CC2571 are ANT RF network processors that implement the easy-to-use, power-efficient ANT protocol. The majority of the ANT protocol is built into the CC2570/71, keeping host MCU memory requirements low. The ANT protocol has been designed to be very power-efficient, yet is flexible enough to support various network topologies and data transfer modes making it suitable for collection, automatic transfer and tracking of sensor data within sports, wellness management and home health monitoring applications.
