The SoC memory map is constructed to enable using MMU granule sizes of 64KB and above by placing most of the system resources on a 64KB address boundary. This also enables isolation of resources and peripherals from individual software processes through unique MMU entries.
The following is a non-exhaustive list of exceptions to this alignment rule:
Resources and peripherals excluded from the 64KB addressing placement are either meant to have a single owner or are logically the same function (such as GPIO).
