8.6.1.2.4 Current Sense (RCS)

To achieve the highest regulation accuracy over wider load range, the user needs to target to create 50mV of VCS at full current. Therefore, RCS is selected as Equation 84:

Owing to availability, a standard non-inductive 1mΩ current sense resistor is selected,

Wide terminal chip resistors are recommended for minimized parasitic inductance. For low ohmic value resistors, 4-terminal current sense resistors are suggested for best accuracy.

Reserve room for some ceramic capacitors for possible noise filtering as shown in Figure 8-14. CCS1 and CCS2 filter out differential-mode noise, 100pF ceramic capacitors at each current sense pin filter out common-mode noise.
