Description

DC (transducer) input modules are used for measuring slow moving electrical parameters including voltage, current, temperature, humidity, vibration, pressure or flow from remote sensors. Output modules are used for transmitting measured parameters to remote monitoring systems including terminal unit or protection relay. Their ranges are configurable with magnitude and polarity indicating the amplitude and direction of measured parameters. TI reference designs and ICs help:

  • Showcase integrated analog front end with multi-channel, precision ADCs for accurate measurement of DC signals and DACs for driving output signals accurately in a noisy environment
  • Highlight cost effective ways of isolating between input and output blocks as well as between channel to channel or groups
  • Cover implementation of various methods for transmitting monitored data to a master system through interfaces such as RS232, RS485 , CAN and LVDS
