10.3.1 Overview

The calibration data flash block stores all of the settings that are used by the main application for smooth dimming management. This section describes the contents of the calibration block at a byte level to allow the creation of a custom calibration block.

Figure 10-2 shows a block diagram of the calibration block structure. Each level of data stores offset information for its sub-blocks. The calibration block consists of:

  • Calibration Header - Stores default values and constants used throughout calibration.
  • Calibration Data - Stores all of the calibration tables.
    • Calibration Table - Stores a set of dimming rows for a specified temperature and system mode. A variable number of calibration tables may be used.
      • Dimming Row - Stores the dimming parameters to be used at a specified dimming level.
  • Tool Information - Stores metadata describing the calibration data.
