Overview

The purpose of this design is to demonstrate digital power control using a C2000™ microcontroller and evaluate the powerSUITE Digital Power software tools. The design consists of two separate boards:

Software for this design is packaged in the DigitalPower Software Development Kit (SDK) for C2000 MCUs.

Features
  • 9-VDC input, 2-VDC output non-isolated DC-DC buck converter for simple evaluation of the C2000 digital power software architecture
  • Voltage Mode Control (VMC) and Peak Current Mode Control (PCMC) examples
  • Software-controlled dynamic load for measuring transient response
  • Supported by powerSUITE Digital Power Software Tools for quick adaptation of firmware to a custom hardware design
  • Publically available reference design and orderable hardware
