The TI port of the LwIP stack supports a configuration that is tailored to provide a balance between performance and memory footprint. Refer to the lwipopts.h file in the source/networking/lwip/lwip-config/{device}/enet/ path to learn more about TI's support for the out-of-box LwIP feature. If the out-of-box configuration does not fulfill the application requirements, the file can be modified and the LwIP stack can be rebuilt.
To rebuild the stack, use the makefile in the SDK. Provide the appropriate build profile (release or debug) and the operating system details to trigger the correct makefile. Sample gmake commands are shown below:
gmake -sj -f makefile.am261x lwipif-cpsw-nortos_r5f.ti-arm-clang PROFILE=debug
gmake -sj -f makefile.am261x lwip-contrib-freertos_r5f.ti-arm-clang PROFILE=debug
gmake -sj -f makefile.am261x lwip-freertos_r5f.ti-arm-clang PROFILE=debug
gmake -sj -f makefile.am261x lwip-nortos_r5f.ti-arm-clang PROFILE=debug
gmake -sj -f makefile.am261x lwip-contrib-nortos_r5f.ti-arm-clang PROFILE=debug
gmake -sj -f makefile.am261x lwipif-cpsw-freertos_r5f.ti-arm-clang PROFILE=debug
After rebuilding the library with changes, rebuild the application to link the updated libraries.
