7.3.1.2.5.1 REG18

This regulator resides on the AFE is used to provide power to the AFE, REG135, flash charge pump, GPIO, and analog circuits of the MCU die. A 1-μF capacitor (CREG18) is required to be connected as close to the REG18 pin as possible for optimal operation.

There is output short protection of the LDO, although this protection limit is reduced in HIBERNATE mode.

The REG18 output is available to be used external to the device to power other circuits but is limited to the maximum current of IREG18EXT.

Note:

The maximum load current available from the REG18 LDO includes both the REG135 LDO current and any external load currents on the REG18 pin.
