Overview

The DS90Ux983-Q1EVM is an evaluation module for evaluating the DS90Ux983-Q1 DisplayPort to FPD-Link IV serializer. The DS90Ux983-Q1 supports ultra-high-definition resolutions including 4K with 30 bits per pixel at 60 Hz. The displayport input is compatible with displayport v1.4 with speeds up to 8.1 Gbps per lane and the FPD-Link interface supports up to 13.5 Gbps per channel in FPD-Link IV mode or up to 3.675 Gbps per channel in FPD-Link III mode. The FPD-Link interconnect of the DS90Ux983-Q1EVM is an automotive Rosenberger highspeed modular twisted pair data (H-MTD) connector.

  • AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications
  • Supports up to 8.1 Gbps per lane on the displayport, up to 3.675 Gbps for FPD-Link III, and up to 13.5 Gbps for FPD-Link IV
  • Onboard I2C addresses and mode select configuration setting
  • FPD-Link IV output over Rosenberger H-MTD connector and configurable to SMA connector by changing AC coupling capacitor orientation.
  • Includes on-board I2C controller (USB2ANY)
  • Standard displayport 20-pin connector interconnect
