Processor core supply VDD_CORE and peripheral core supplies VDDA_CORE_CSI_DSI, VDDA_CORE_DSI_CLK, VDDA_CORE_USB and VDDA_DDR_PLL0 are recommended to be powered from the same power source and can be configured for 0.75V or 0.85V operation (specified nominal operating voltage as per the Recommended Operating Conditions (ROC)). When processor core and peripheral core supplies are operating at 0.75V, the recommendation is to ramp 0.75V supply before 0.85V supply.
Peripheral core supplies for MMC0, VDD_MMC0 (pin 1K3, renamed as VDDR_CORE from SR1.2) and VDDA_0P85_DLL_MMC0 (pin 1J1, named as VDDR_CORE from SR1.2) are specified to operate at 0.85V (in case MMC0 interface (eMMC) is used or not used).
The recommendation is to connect VDD_MMC0 and VDDA_0P85_DLL_MMC0 to the same power source as VDDR_CORE (from SR1.2). The supply changes have been made to enhance AM62Px eMMC interface speed performance.
There is update to the Pin Connectivity Requirements in the latest revision of the processor-specific data sheet for MMC0 interface. Recommend reviewing the Pin Connectivity Requirements for MMC0 (eMMC) interface and following the same for the MMC0 power and signals.
In case MMC0 (eMMC) interface is not used on the current custom board design, VDD_CORE is configured for 0.75V and each of the balls (VDD_MMC0 (1K3), VDDA_0P85_DLL_MMC0 (1J1)) are connected to the same power source as VDD_CORE, the recommendation is to provide provision to connect VDD_MMC0, VDDA_0P85_DLL_MMC0 (both pins renamed as VDDR_CORE) to 0.85V (VDDR_CORE) to make the design compatible to use processor silicon revision from SR1.2.
VDDR_CORE is specified to operate at 0.85V. When VDD_CORE is operating at 0.85V, the recommendation is to ramp VDD_CORE and VDDR_CORE together (powered from the same source).
The recommendation is to always connect VDDS_OSC0 and VDDA_MCU supplies.
The processor family supports multiple analog supply pins that provides power supply to sensitive analog circuitry like VDDA_MCU, VDDA_PLLx [x = 0-4], VDDA_1P8_CSI_DSI and VDDA_1P8_OLDI0. Filtered (ferrite) power supplies are recommended.
Connection of VDDA_1P8_USB (filtered) and VDDA_3P3_USB to a 3.3V analog supply for supporting USB2.0 interface is recommended.
The below updates VDD_MMC0, VDDA_0P85_DLL_MMC0 (both pins renamed as VDDR_CORE) have been made in the below data sheet:
