5.9 Software Considerations

Enable the debug connection before connecting a debug probe by setting the DBGSS.DBGBCTRL[5] SWDCEN register bit and disable after the debug session is completed by clearing the bit.

The debug software override feature is a fail-safe approach for enabling a debug connection and is enabled by writing the DBGSS.DBGBCTRL[0] SWDOVR register bit. When this bit is set, the device does not wake up from shutdown due to a debug connection. This feature is used only for internal debugging purposes, if there are issues seen in establishing a debug connection in standby/active modes.
