The VTNF module is part of the SIMCOP subsystem in the ISS. Figure 9-197 shows the integration of the VTNF in the SIMCOP sybsystem.
Figure 9-197 VTNF Engine Integration| Module Instance | Attributes | |
| Power Domain | Interconnect | |
| VTNF | PD_EVE3 | L3_MAIN via ISS interconnect |
| Clocks | ||||
| Module Instance | Destination Signal Name | Source Signal Name | Source | Description |
| VTNF | VTNF_FCLK | ISS_MAIN_FCLK | ISS | Functional clock. It is used by all ISS sub-modules and ISS top level resources. |
| VTNF_CFG_CLK | ISS_MAIN_FCLK / 2 | SIMCOP TOP | Synchronuos configuration clock running at half the speed of the functional clock. | |
| Resets | ||||
| Module Instance | Destination Signal Name | Source Signal Name | Source | Description |
| VTNF | VTNF_RST | ISS_RST | ISS | ISS and SIMCOP global reset |
For information about clock and reset management, see Section 9.4.1.2.1, ISS SIMCOP Local Power and Clock Management.
| Interrupt Requests | ||||
| Module Instance | Source Signal Name | Destination Signal Name | Destination | Description |
| VTNF | VTNF_IRQ0 | SIMCOP_IRQ0 | SIMCOP IRQ merger | Interrupt triggered by SIMCOP VTNF. It indicates that one block of VTNF task has been completed. It is synchronous to the config clock and active for one config clock cycle. |
For more information about interrupt requests, see Section 9.1.2.1.1, Interrupt Merger.
VTNF does not generate any DMA request, though VTNF_IRQ0 done signal to the SIMCOP HW sequencer is often used to trigger DMA.
