6.1.3.1.2 Low Frequency Oscillator (LFOSC0_XI, LFOSC0_XO)

LFOSC0 has limited use cases and is optional. Based on the use case, select a 32.768kHz crystal as the clock source or a 1.8V LVCMOS square-wave digital clock source.

The FAQ is generic and can also be used for AM62Lx processor family.

Place all discrete components used to implement the oscillator circuit as close as possible to the LFOSC0_XI and LFOSC0_XO pins. For the crystal, the load capacitance selected is required to be in the range recommended in the LFOSC0 Crystal Electrical Characteristics table of the processor-specific data sheet.

If LFOSC0_XI / LFOSC0_XO is not used, then the recommendation is to connect the XI directly to the VSS and to leave the XO unconnected.

Note: WKUP_LFOSC0 (low frequency (32.768kHz) oscillator) for AM62x is LFOSC0 for AM62Lx.
