26.7 Samplestamp Generator

The samplestamp generator is used to start the input and output DMA operation. The samplestamp generator is also used to synchronize I2S modules over a wireless network, so correct and fixed audio latency can be achieved. Synchronization over a wireless network is an optional feature that can be bypassed. The samplestamp generator is enabled and is running while STMPCTL.STMP_EN = 1. Counter and capture registers are reset when software writes STMPCTL.STMP_EN = 0.
