15.8 Trip-Zone (TZ) Submodule

Each MCPWM module is connected to eight TZn signals (TZ1 to TZ8). All eight TZn signals are sourced from the PWM X-BAR that is inherited from a type-4 ePWM. Refer to the Crossbar (X-BAR) chapter to see what signals can be routed to the MCPWM module to be used as a trip source. These signals indicate external fault or trip conditions, and the MCPWM outputs can be programmed to respond accordingly when faults occur.

Figure 15-32 illustrates the trip-zone submodule within the MCPWM.
