8.9 Open-Drain Configuration Requirements

To configure GPIO as an open-drain pin, write 0 to the GPxDAT register for the pin followed by writing 0 to the GPxDIR register. When writing 0 to the GPxDIR register, the pin is floating; when writing 1 to the GPxDIR register, the pin is driven low.
